Loess Hills Area Education Agency 13 works as an educational partner with local public and accredited private schools providing special education support services and establishing educational policies and administrative regulations. The agency s programs and services include curriculum assessment, early childhood education, media and technology services, induction programs, life skills management, school improvement programs and a variety of instructional and planning services. It has a media center and organizes various events, including History Day, Math Courts, Mock Trial and Invent Iowa. The agency provides special programs for children with disabilities and also offers staff development programs. Loess Hills AEA has eight offices in Iowa and provides services to more than 30 school districts in seven southwest Iowa counties, including Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby.
