- Urinary IncontinenceThe most common type of urinary incontinence, overflow is the inability of the sphincter muscle — the muscle that relaxes to allow a person to urinate — to completely contract and close off flow following urination.
- ImmunizationsThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend HPV vaccinations, such as Gardasil, for girls and boys who are 11 or 12 years old*. Children as young as nine years old can receive these injections, but parents should discuss this with their child’s doctor first. Those who haven’t received the full set of injections by 11 or 12 years of age can receive catch-up vaccinations through age 26 for women or age 21 for men*.

- Ovarian CancerThe best way to beat cancer is to detect it and treat it in its earliest stages. When it comes to ovarian cancer the only way to do that is to have regular screenings. Metro OB GYN has state-of-the-art equipment and experienced healthcare providers on hand to provide ovarian cancer screenings. We also work with a number of insurance companies so you may not have to pay anything out-of-pocket for your screening.
- Cervical CancerThere are more than 100 types of HPV, some of which can cause common, genital, plantar, or flat warts. Other strains can cause cervical cancer or other forms of cancer that affect the mouth, upper respiratory tract, or genitals. The FDA has approved the use of Gardasil which helps prevent HPV strains that cause warts and lowers the risk of contracting HPV strains that can cause cervical cancer.
- Urinary Tract InfectionUrine screenings are done to ensure there isn’t a urinary tract infection (UTI). UTI's can cause kidney abnormalities which might indicate excess sugar or protein in the expectant mother's system. These can be harmful to both mother and baby. Urine screenings can help prevent more serious kidney infections that might lead to pregnancy complications including pre-term labor.

- UltrasoundWe’ve been serving women and their healthcare needs since 1990, and patient care and convenience are at the forefront of our service. One of the conveniences we are able to offer our patients is in-office ultrasounds. Ultrasounds allow doctors to monitor the health of the mother and fetus, as well as allow future parents to see their developing baby. They also provide the first pictures soon-to-be parents can share with their family and friends. Pelvic ultrasounds are performed for many reasons. Pelvic pain, irregular menstrual cycles, and heavy menstrual bleeding are just some of the reasons we may recommend a pelvic ultrasound.
- RadiologyBusiness associates: There are some services in our organization provided through contacts with business associates such as other physicians, radiology staff, and laboratory technicians. To protect your health information, however, we require the business associate to appropriately safeguard your information.
