- We offer 2 very unique cabins that are both located right on the Blue River. Harrison Spring Cabin - Cozy enough for two, but large enough to sleep four comfortably. The Harrison Spring Cabin overlooks where the spring empties into the Blue River. Harrison Spring is one of the largest springs east of the Mississippi River and is on the National Natural Landmark List. The cabin is on stilts and affords a nice view of the Blue River and the spring. The spring is always 54 degrees and this really moderates the temperature around the cabin. A large wrap around porch offers extended river views and is a relaxing place for friends and guests to gather. An interior family room offers additional gathering opportunities. The cabin is furnished in a river camp atmosphere and features a full bathroom with shower, a double bed, and a set of bunk beds. The Cabin is air conditioned and heated. Cardinal House Lodge - Cardinal House Lodge offers a large screened porch that wraps around 2 sides of the building and provides space to dine, sleep, or watch the river. A large circular fireplace offers additional gathering opportunites in an open family room setting. The cabin will sleep 8 to 12 comfortably. The cabin has 3 private bedrooms. There are also 2 twin beds in view of the fireplace, a sleeper couch, and cots are available. The cabin has 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and features a vulcan stove, huge butcherblock prep table, exterior gas and charcoal grills, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a riverside campfire circle. The cabin sets in the country by itself and is adapted from a 1950's church camp called Camp Merry Ledges. The Camp is constructed of rustic redwood and douglas fir and provides the perfect setting for couples, families, fishermen, and outdoor groups looking for a river retreat. This cabin is the perfect retreat for a river and outdoor lover!
