dont believe what is on the website. There are many things that don't occur. Starting with accepting credit cards. They don't. they have not joined the 21st century as of yet. Pets are not welcome. They tell you you can have the pet, but will keep your deposit for " damages" at their discretion. I have been waiting a month for my deposit with no explanation of why it hasn't been returned. And they want your money up front! I have never stayed anywhere where I paid for the stay up front. They are more concerned with the student rental property they have than the motel. They get more money from raking the students over the coals than the motel. Beware of what used to be a good place to stay. I would have been better off at a large chain motel for less money than I paid at 7 Valley this time. They need to close it and concentrate on taking advantage if the incoming students.
I recently returned to Cortland, New York to attend my 35th high school reunion gathering. At first, we checked in and stayed at the Ramada Cortland for 3 days. Unfortunately, the accommodations at the Ramada were less than desirable & the hotel staff weren't very receptive. We were fortunate to find this lovely place (7-Valley Motel) to stay. It is in a great location, 5 minute walking distance to Main street and Cortland State College itself. The rooms are great, there are kitchenettes and single rooms, we chose the single room. The motel has remote control AC/Heat for each room, great WI-FI, free Access, mini refrigerator, microwave, recliner chair and a desk& chair. Also there is a separate bathroom for this room. The 7-Valley Motel has free parking located in a controlled access, two sitting/day rooms with books, magazines and local vendor and community advertisements and directory's available. The place is very comfortable, quiet and cozy. The price is very reasonable. The family owned business is very friendly and respectful to the needs of the visitors. I plan on returning here for my next visit to Cortland. Highly recommend this establishment.

They recentally refused to rent me a room because I was coming up for an alumni weekend citing "We want to stay away from people like you." After interrogating me about what I was planning to do during my visit for 10 minutes, she went on to tell me that recent alumni "cannot be trusted" and "only cause damages". Apparentally alumni under the age of 30 are not good enough for the 7 Valley Motel (I'm 27, graduated in 2010). I would reccomend that anyone fitting that description look somewhere else for a crappy motel. Perhaps the EconoLodge right off main street.

i recently stayed at the 7 valley Motel in Cortland for my 30 year college reunion. I loved staying at this wonderful place that made me feel so welcome. The rooms are very clean and within walking distance to downtown and campus. The suites are huge and have full kitchens. I can't say enough for this place. I recommend this motel to anyone looking for a place that will not cost you an arm and a leg.

i recently stayed at the 7 valley Motel in Cortland for my 30 year college reunion. I loved staying at this wonderful place that made me feel so welcome. I stayed at seven valley motel for 2 weeks. The suites are very large and comfortable. The rooms are really clean and the staff are very accocomodating and graceous. I was treated with kindness and felt at home. The prices are very reasonable.
Friendly,clean and inexpensive. Located in the heart of town. Pefect place to stay in Cortland

I just spent close to a week there and it felt more like being at home and much less like staying in a motel. The rooms are very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and the rates are very reasonable. I would highly recommend staying there!
