General Info

In 1946 Jerry & Marge Johnson began repairing truck tarps and seats in an attic room in their DeKalb, IL. home. Carrying truck tarps upstairs or hoisting seats through a window became counter productive and they relocated their business to its present location in Cortland, Il. Purchasing an old Model A garage in 1952 they set up shop and their business began to grow. Sons Jerry "Jug" & Fred have worked in the business since early childhood, daughter Cherry joined the business in 1983. Today the business has expanded to over 5000 sq. ft. of work area in four separate buildings.
