      CKCAD (C Keathley Construction and Design Corp) is a registered General Building contractor (class B) and a C-8 (concrete) contractor with the Contractor's State License Board. We build and remodel structures in both residential and commercial markets. We understand that finding a trustworthy contractor who upholds high ethical standards in all aspects of the job can be overwhelming. Here at CKCAD we will never stray from our moral compass and we promise to always deliver honest, quality workmanship. Our reputation and customer satisfaction takes precedence over our desire to maximize profit. We seek to educate our customers on the risks and liabilities they may face when hiring a contractor. It is our mission to make sure you are confident with your decision, that way you can rest assured CKCAD is your best option for the job! There is no better way for a business to advertise than by "word of mouth". We are here for the long haul, we take pride in every job, regardless of size. Construction is what we know, what we love, and it is what we do. Educate Yourself! Make sure you confirm that the contractor you choose has an active license with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) Many "contractors" who offer incredibly low quotes are often able to do so because they hire illegal laborers or they are not actually licensed. We only employ individuals who are 100% qualified. Contractors are mandated to be bonded and carry workman's comp insurance. If the contractor you can not show you proof of these requirements, chances are they do not have them and the liability falls on you. There have been far too many cases where an undocumented worker has injured themselves on the job and the homeowner was liable for the incident. This is a risk that no homeowner should have to take when seeking a contractor. Rest assured that CKCAD is bonded and carries worker's comp insurance for all employees. At CKCAD we take pride in our ability to complete any size job by following all legal requirements including zoning and building codes, regardless of jurisdiction. We obtain any building permits necessary and will ensure that all of our work will be in accordance to these legalities. Unfortunately, many contractors will not obtain required permits and the homeowner receives a citation, then required to purchase necessary permits and is likely to be forced to take down the structure. Another way for contractors to offer competitive pricing is by choosing cheaper, less reliable materials. We love to use the best quality materials that you can depend on for many years to come but we also understand that is not in everybody's budget. If using the best materials is out of your budget there are certainly alternatives. With longevity/lifeline of your investment in mind it's not a good choice to opt for the absolute cheapest.
