Dr. Cathy M. Chapman is a board certified and Rheumatologist who specializes in the treatment of rheumatic diseases. As a native of Syracuse, New York, she graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton (a.k.a. Binghamton University) in 1984 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. She then spent four years at and graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed a three year residency in Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. After completing a two year fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, she moved to Memphis, TN with her husband Dr. George R. Woodbury, Jr. to practice Rheumatology in 1993. Dr. Chapman is a member of the American Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association, Memphis and Shelby County Medical Society, American College of Physicians, The American College of Rheumatology, The Tennessee Rheumatology Society, and the Bluff City Medical Society. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee, she teaches 4th year UT medical students in her office. Dr. Chapman volunteers as a physician at the Church Health Center and serves on the Boards of the West TN Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
