Rooster Rock State Park includes facilities for hiking and biking. It also has areas available for bird and wildlife watching, boating, picnicking, fishing, windsurfing and swimming activities. The park serves as a venue for organizing a variety of special events and recreational programs. Rooster Rock State Park also includes multiple disc golf courses. The park is maintained by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, which provides and protects natural, cultural, historical and recreational sites. The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department organizes a variety of events, camps and trips, as well as maintains parks and playgrounds. The department operates under the government of the state of Oregon.
