I gave this guy a $1000 retainer to help me with a foreclosure action. He wrote two documents and did nothing else. He wouldn't return my phone calls and he didn't refund any of my money. Those were mighty expensive letters -- one saying he was representing me and one that asked for a short sale -- about 3 pages total. I should have taken him to the Bar Association but I wanted him to handle the whole thing and get it out of my hair. Now I am regreting that I didn't pursue action against him. Statute of Limitations has expired but I thought at least I could keep someone else from making the same mistake I did.
