Westglades Middle School, located in Coral Springs, Fla., is part of Broward County School District. It offers classes to students in grades six through eight, and has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students. It addresses the needs of students during the transition between elementary and high school, using a personalized approach and a flexible, interdisciplinary curriculum. The school provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, social studies and science. Additionally, other courses are offered, which include art, music, computer, library, guidance, health and physical education. Community service projects are part of each grade. All students are invited to take part in the school newspaper and student council. Westglades Middle School offers a variety of sports, including football, basketball, track and swimming.
