The Coral Springs City Manager is appointed by the city commission to oversee the daily operations of the city of Coral Springs, Fla. The city functions through its various departments comprising public works, building code enforcement, community development, engineering, development services, fire and human resources. The city s other departments include occupational licenses, parks, planning and zoning, police, purchasing and recreation. The public works department oversees the department administration and budget for all divisions and manages the city s solid waste franchise agreement and other citywide contracts. It also performs in-house or contracts for maintenance the repair, and minor construction of all city buildings. It is also responsible for street maintenance, cleaning of storms drains, and the repair of bike paths, sidewalks and street signs. Additionally, it operates a water treatment plant; repairs water services lines and maintains sanitary lift stations.
