Riverchase Elementary is a learning center that offers classes to more than 400 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. The school features computer centers, scanners, cameras, printers and document projectors. It provides lessons in reading, writing, science, social studies and math. Riverchase Elementary works in partnership with families and local communities. The school maintains a parent-teacher association. It is a part of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, which governs elementary, middle and high schools. The district operates curriculum and instruction, personnel, purchasing, security, records management and student assistance departments. Its schools provide lessons in fine and language arts and special education. The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District offers individual and family counseling and crisis intervention screening services. The district conducts training sessions in drug and violence prevention, ethics and legal issues. Its schools offer academic programs for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
