Sims Elementary School, established in 1988, serves more than 700 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school is a part of Rockdale County Public Schools. Its facilities include an outdoor pavilion, gymnasium, playground, music room, audiovisual newsroom, cafeteria and computer labs. Sims Elementary School has a guidance department that provides individual and group counseling. The school s parent-teacher association sponsors several fundraising events and extracurricular activities. It has a media center that houses a variety of storybooks, picture dictionaries, encyclopedias and quiz books. Sims Elementary School offers classes in reading, English, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, music and art. The school is located in Conyers, Ga.
