Concord Camera...let me tell you what outrage and lack of respect i have for them...Made 3 phone calls to them checking prices and info for converting old 8mm to dvd's. all 3 times was told turn around time was 2 weeks. Dropped them off on march 8, along with 2 vhs tapes..that day i told the girl i needed them for my mom's 88th bday ( 3 weeks away) and she told me 2 weeks. I called there on 3/24 as i had not heard from and was told my order was in. I went on 3/25 to find only the VHS ready. I was very upset. They called the company that they use who told them they would send them out Monday and i asked to have it shipped to my mom's in albany as i was headed there. On 3/29 (her bday) the UPS went by and did not stop. I called concord Camera and asked to speak to the manager. Mike got on the phone. i told him all of my issues. his first reply was "we don't guarantee 2 weeks" i told him then they should tell people that it is usually 2 weeks but could be longer. every employee had told me 2 week turn around. He told me who would call the company and call me back. A worker called me back. i told him i wanted to speak to mike. Mike got on the phone and I told him I was angry he had someone else call me back. He said he was with anther customer and he had other customers to wait on... I told him he could have called me when done but when i am speaking to a manager who is looking into a huge problem, i expect the manager to call me back. He apologized and said it had not bee sent out. i was outraged as it was my mom's bday gift and we all were there to give to her and watch ( and spent over $700 on). He told me they could over night l the dvd's ( 6 copies) and send the 8mm back to concord to make it faster. He made the comment they "were jumping through hoops to help me" to which i replied only when i called to complain did anything get taken care of. So, we had mom's bday with No gift. Thursday 3/30, the box comes and there is only 1 set of DVd's. I call and ask for the manager and get Mike again. I am now fuming...He says "your kidding"... He calls the company and asks them to send the rest of the DVD's in every phone call Mike kept blaming the company doing the work. i kept saying it is his partnership with them and it was him i went to with my stuff. He would make comments like they have not had this issue before, blame them and act like they were doing doing SO much to help me . They finally arrive on 4/10. ( yes over 1 month now). i go to the store to get them and they hand me the bag and tell me i am all set as i have paid already. i ask for the owner's information and guess what...it is Mike (the person i kept speaking to as the manager who never mentioned he was the owner! I asked if he was in. I told him i was disgusted and could not believe he did not offer any compensation. His reply was " i was going to when you cam in". i replies" i am here,picked up the stuff and was heading out when i asked for your info and you never once came out to talk to me until I asked for you". He again blamed his partner company. His response was he was going to offer me a $25 gift card to their store but he thought i would not want it. i told him i thought he should give me $50-100 off the $708 I spent. He said he could not do that to which i said he could do what he wanted as he was the owner. he again offered me a gift card to their store and I picked up my bag and replied that i did not want it as i would not come there again. As i walked away he said "I hope not" but I heard hm and turned around. I repeated what he said and then he said" i didn't say anything mam" to which I replied " I heard you. if you are going to mumble under your breath at least have the decency to admit it and not lie". I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN,
