Awful Service

I was a long time Allstate customer for both my home owners and auto until recently when I decided to shop insurance. Liberty Mutual was able to provide me with equal coverage at a savings of almost $700 per year. I called Gregg to cancel my policy and explained why. Gregg indicated I needed to watch my mail for documentation and he said I would be getting a refund shortly. Two weeks went by with nothing and then I received a bill for my auto. I logged online and saw my policies were still active. I proceeded to email Gregg and received an out-of-office vacation reply providing his assistant's name and email. I emailed his assistant to request she process the cancellation and received no response. A few days passed and I called the corporate office. They commenced a conference call with Gregg's office and I spoke with his assistant. She took down my information and assured me she would handle it personally. Another week went by - still nothing! I called corporate again and was advised that now I have to provide proof of insurance so they can back date the cancellation. Nice that I have to do Gregg's work for him and clean up his mistakes. GET YOUR INSURANCE ELSEWHERE!

Personalized service at it's best. Switched all of our insurance (home, auto, motorcycle, rental property) over to the Gagnon Agency and saved a lot of money and frustration in the process. This is how customer service should be, attention to detail, a vested interest in the "right" coverage, etc.
