Established in 1962, Ayers Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum includes math, science, social studies, and health and physical education. The school additionally offers before- and after-school child care through Dianne Adair Day Care. Ayers Elementary School employs more than 25 certificated and 15 classified personnel that include classroom teachers, speech and language pathologists, computer assistants, and vocal and instrumental music teachers. It also employs a resource specialist, librarian and physical education specialist. Ayers Elementary School has a school site council and parent-teacher association. The elementary school is located in Concord, Calif., and is a part of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
