Commerce Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally conducts art, music and physical education classes. Commerce Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that organizes talent shows, bagel sales and several fundraising events. The school also organizes trips and camps for students. It offers before- and after-school child care programs. In addition, Commerce Elementary School offers Head Start, a federally funded child development program for low-income children and their families. It is located in Commerce Township, Mich., and is a part of the Walled Lake Consolidated School District.
