- UltrasoundLaser eyelid tightening is a great alternative for people who suffer from mild to moderately loose eyelid skin but are not ready for surgical alternatives. Eyelid tightening can be performed on either the upper or lower lids, or both. Sagging eyebrows are resolved using Ultherapy®, an FDA approved ultrasound treatment, for lifting and firming the brow line. Ultherapy® can also be used to tighten and firm the skin around the eyes when only mild improvement is needed.
- GangrenePlastic surgery literature shows that traditional liposuction under general anesthesia is associated with complications like deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, abdominal and organ perforation, infection, and internal bleeding. The European literature analyzed data from 72 cases of severe complications from liposuction including 23 deaths (1999-2002) caused from different forms of gangrene and sepsis. Other lethal outcomes were from hemorrhage, abdominal perforation, and pulmonary embolism. (6) Besides the surgical risks there is also a higher risk related to general anesthesia. Liposuction requires substantial downtime, with considerable pain, discomfort, and large scale bruising.
- BotoxIt’s just a matter of time – over the years our skin loses the “stretchy” qualities that come from our skin’s ability to produce collagen and elastin. Smoke, environmental pollutants, stress, and illness all conspire to take the “spring” out of your skin, which means the skin will be less firm and have increased sagging as we get older. Gentle Waves® treatments are a great way to tighten and firm skin for the long term by encouraging the skin to naturally create the proteins that make collagen and elastin. Gentle Waves®, especially when combined with Rejuvenation Mesotherapy treatments (which directly add natural skin ingredients and nutrients to allow more extensive collagen production), can enhance and extend these results at the cellular level by providing the firm foundation and flexibility of more youthful skin. Gentle Waves® is also very effective when combined with BOTOX® and MicroLaserPeel® to further decrease wrinkles and facial lines.
- LiposuctionWhatever name is goes by, they are all LaserLipo and perform in basically the same way to eliminate stubborn fat pockets, without the pain or inconvenience of traditional liposuction. LaserLipo also has the advantage of tightening skin and allowing patients to return to their normal activities much more quickly.

- Face LiftDr. Mudd was the first physician in Central Ohio and among the first in the state of Ohio to perform the non-surgical filler thread-lift, after learning this technique from the originator of this specialized technique. She also uses these fillers to perform the Liquid Facelift. Both of these special techniques can create immediate dramatic improvement without any downtime. Dermal filler patients love to leave the office looking 5-10 years younger!
- BlepharoplastyNo. “Laser blepharoplasty” is a confusing term because some doctors use it to describe eye procedures that include surgery, while others do not. The laser eyelid/brow procedures at the New You Center are all non-surgical procedures that just tighten the eyelids and brow.
- Scar RevisionMicroLaserPeel Columbus OHWith the advice of Dr. Mudd, you can decide the depth of your MicroLaserPeel® to customize your treatment and improve your unique skin conditions. When used in conjunction with Botox®, MicroLaserPeel® creates a dramatically effective combination that both erases wrinkles and also prevents them from coming back! MicroLaser Peel® can be combined with the fractional laser to stimulate collagen production to tighten and rejuvenate skin even further. MicroLaserPeel® can be used for scar revision associated with acne or surgical scarring as well, and this laser can also be used to remove benign skin moles.
- Body ContouringDr. Mudd’s areas of aesthetic expertise include body contouring through non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures and skin elevation and rejuvenation. Some of the therapies used involve lasers for fat removal, skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, resurfacing, scar revision, hair removal and vein treats. Broad band light is used for skin discoloration, rosacea, and skin rejuvenation. Injectables such as Botox®, Juvederm® Voluma®, and Restylane are used for wrinkles and to restore volume. Silhouette Instalift™ is used to elevate and rejuvenate the skin mechanically.
- Laser ResurfacingCollagen is the supporting structure of your skin. The fractional laser stimulates the body’s collagen production by penetrating into the dermis in a high density dot pattern. This promotes a rapid healing response due to the presence of stem cells in the surrounding untreated areas, which will promote new collagen growth in the treated area. Alternatively, deep laser resurfacing will remove all the old skin so it can be replaced by younger tighter new skin.
- MolesBenign —Most moles are benign and, depending on location, number and personal preference, may be seen as a natural beauty highlight to your features. In this case you can do nothing and thank Mother Nature for the exclamation point to your beauty!

- Skin CancerBBL, quite simply, makes your skin cells behave like younger skin cells. (Sounds good to me!) You could even increase the results by combining BBL with Meso-Skin Rejuvenation.
- Acne TreatmentResults of acne treatment last as long as 6 months, but this can be extended through the conscientious use of an appropriate skin care regimen.
- LesionsBiopsy —Some melanocytes “go wild” and divide uncontrollably and become cancers. If there’s any doubt, it’s wise to have a biopsy of these lesions.
- Chemical PeelsThroughout life, surface skin cells are replaced by new fresher-looking skin cells. The rate of replacement slows with age and sun exposure. This results in surface skin layers that are dead and gives skin an aged, dull look. The chemical peel loosens the “glue” that holds skin cells to each other, allowing the dead skin to slough off. The now exposed underlying skin is newer and therefore has a more even color and texture.
- Skin CareYour Ultherapy treatment lifts, tightens, and firms your skin in the treated area. The average amount of lift is 1.9mm which is significant enough to lift brows, open eyes, and eliminate sag. Ultherapy was approved by the FDA in September 2009, so we now know that the originally treated patients are still showing improved appearances when compared to their pre-procedure photos. Periodic maintenance, as part of your skin support system including use of good skin care, nutrition, and exercise, is suggested to keep pace with your body’s natural body process. There is an upside to getting Ultherapy again. Your collagen responds even better the second time! 80% of people experience the clinically amount of lift mentioned above. Responses increase to 89% after a second treatment.
