- Osteoporosis
- Primary CareTo be eligible for the Chronic Care Management program you must be a Medicare beneficiary and have multiple (two or more) chronic conditions expected to last at least 12 months, or until end of life. If you are unsure if your conditions qualify, contact your primary care provider and they will be able to assist you further.
- Male Infertility
- Emergency CareWhen you get emergency care or get treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing.
- Erectile Dysfunction
- Urinary IncontinenceThere are several types of pelvic floor disorders (PFD), including urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. A PFD occurs when the muscles or connective tissues that support organs, including the bladder, uterus, cervix, vagina and rectum are weakened or injured. A range of treatment is available.

- Labor and DeliveryThe two most common types of urinary incontinence affecting women are stress incontinence and urge incontinence, which is also called overactive bladder. Incontinence affects twice as many women as men, which is believed to be due to pregnancy, childbirth and menopause. The good news is that urinary incontinence is not a normal part of aging, and it can be treated.
- Bladder CancerThrough a network of 15 locations in the region, COUG is a leading provider of comprehensive urological services, including men’s health, women’s health, cancer care, advanced treatment options for prostate and bladder cancer, and radiation oncology.
- Urology
- Kidney Cancer
- Kidney StonesThere are two general types of urinary retention: obstructive and non-obstructive. If there is an obstruction (for example, kidney stones), urine cannot flow freely through the urinary tract. Non-obstructive causes include a weak bladder muscle and nerve problems that interfere with signals between the bladder and the brain. If the nerves aren’t working properly, the brain may not get the message that the bladder is full.
- Testicular Cancer
- Interstitial CystitisInterstitial cystitis / bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) is a condition with symptoms including burning, pressure, and pain in the bladder along with urinary urgency and frequency.
- Urinary Tract InfectionWomen are at greater risk of developing a UTI than are men. About 40 percent of women will experience a UTI at least once in their lifetime. A urinary tract infection is an infection in any part of your urinary system – your kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.
- Prostate CancerPatients are referred to a reconstructive urologist when urethral stricture disease is present. This is scar tissue in the urethra that can cause a blockage or obstruct urine flow. These issues can be caused by birth defects, injury, medical conditions or complications from surgery or other treatment, including complications from treatment of prostate cancer.

- Depression
- Mental HealthWe provide resources and help for mental health and substance abuse concerns, critical incident response services, resources for legal assistance and financial help.
- Diabetes Care
- HypothyroidismIf the PSA is rising despite ADT, but there is no visible evidence of cancer anywhere, Erleada may offer a chance to delay the cancer from spreading. A spot of cancer that has spread outside the prostate is called a metastasis, so this treatment is aimed at preventing metastatic spread. Erleada is a pill that is taken every day and continued for as long as it is working, which on average is about two years based on a large clinical trial. While the medication is generally well tolerated, there is always a possibility of a side effect. Fatigue, nausea, falls and hypothyroidism have all been reported. There is also a risk of developing a skin rash.
- UltrasoundProstate biopsies through new, innovative technology called ExactVu Imaging Ultrasound. It magnifies the prostate to 300 times, allowing us to perform real-time targeted biopsies.
- MRIMicro-ultrasound has even better resolution than MRI and a 300% improvement over conventional ultrasound. The imaging session is fast, quick and painless.
- RadiologyWhen you get services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers there may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers may bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. This applies to emergency medicine, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, laboratory, neonatology, assistant surgeon, hospitalist or intensivist services. These providers can’t balance bill you and may not ask you to give up your protections not to be balance billed.
- X-Rays
- Computed TomographyOur Imaging Centers provide the highest quality Computed Tomography (CT) services with a competent and caring staff. Our scheduling is simple and accommodating, and results are available quickly.
- ChemotherapyPROVENGE® (sipuleucel-T) is an innovative autologous cellular immunotherapy generally employed as an advanced prostate cancer treatment option. Provenge activates the body’s immune system to seek out and attack the prostate cancer. This is not chemotherapy, nor is it a hormone therapy. Provenge is an immunotherapy that reprograms the body’s ability to fight the cancer. This treatment is usually given to someone who does have known metastases (cancer that has spread outside of the prostate).
- Radiation TherapyComprehensive ancillary services: radiation therapy (IMRT), Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic (APCC), Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), lab, imaging, in-office dispensary, multiple hospital and outreach agreements
- Radiation OncologyColumbus Prostate Cancer Center is part of the U.S. Urology Partners network with expertise in medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, urology, oncology surgery and other specialties.
- Minimally Invasive SurgeryAt the Central Ohio Urology Surgery Center, we have the latest technology, the Da Vinci Xi robot, that allows for minimally invasive surgery. This allows our surgeons to do the most complex surgeries in the body through tiny incisions. This means less pain, less blood loss and faster recovery.
- VasectomyA vasectomy prevents the sperm from exiting the penis during ejaculation. The procedure is very quick, and you can go home the same day. Studies show that a vasectomy is over 99% effective at preventing future pregnancies, making it the most effective form of birth control.
- Robotic SurgeryBecause robotic surgery is minimally invasive, most patients do not need to be in a hospital and can recover in the comfort of their own homes with their family nearby rather than staying overnight in a hospital.
- HysterectomyPelvic organ prolapse is a condition that is caused by a weakening of the normal support of the pelvic floor with aging or after a hysterectomy and can lead to incontinence and/or an abnormal bulge in the vagina.
- Reconstructive SurgeryOur team of specialists, led by a fellowship-trained surgeon, offers precise treatments for male genital and urethral disorders such as: urethral reconstruction, repair of urethral strictures, penile implants, penile curvature (Peyronie’s Disease), bladder neck reconstruction, urinary diversion, penile and scrotal reconstructive surgery and surgical treatment of male stress urinary incontinence.
- Botox
- Laparoscopic SurgeryRobotic laparoscopic surgery is used for problems with pelvic organ prolapse, a common problem for women which primarily results from vaginal deliveries. Robotic surgery allows a minimally invasive approach for this operation as an outpatient surgery with no hospitalization.
- Cosmetic SurgeryBe prepared to bring any co-pay or co-insurance amounts on the day of your surgery. Patients who do not have insurance coverage or those having cosmetic surgery are required to pay their charges in advance.
- Skin CancerProstate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among men, with approximately 180,000 new cases diagnosed in the U.S. every year. About 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime.
- LesionsSmall lesions are created in the prostate at the mapped out focal points. This is repeated until all targeted tissue is destroyed.
- Physical TherapyFollowing treatment of prostate cancer – surgery, radiation, or brachytherapy (“seeds”) – patients can experience leakage of urine due to side effects of the therapy. Some patients will improve with non-invasive treatment such as pelvic floor physical therapy, but others may have leakage that means they must wear pads or other absorbent products. This can significantly impact a patient’s quality of life, leading to avoiding social interactions, decreasing the amount of fluid one drinks, impacting sexual activity, etc. Depending on unique patient characteristics, treatment options could include a minimally invasive sling procedure, or even an Artificial Urinary Sphincter device that can give you back control of your bladder. Your urologist can help you decide on the best option to achieve your individual goals.
