I had trouble getting good contacts because of my astigmatism. Dr. Lawrence was able to fit me with the best contacts I have ever had. I can see much more clearly and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good pair of contacts.

Like the other patient who posted here, I would have to concur that this by far one of the worst ODs I have ever met in my life. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this OD. One of the other "patients" reported that this OD is known to find diseases where others may not.....in my opinion, that is obviously someone posting on behalf of this OD because I found this person to be argumentative and discourteous. At one point, this OD started to say the phrase "that is life", then caught herself before finishing it. I find people like this to be one of the prime examples of what is wrong with medicine in the U.S. today. Stay clear and find someone more reputable, who isn't working out of a mall or strip center (i.e. Pearle Vision). Take your eyes and problems to a real professional, pay a little more, and end up with what you were looking for to begin with. Don't waste your time here! :(

I felt my examination by Dr. Clara Lawrence was one of the best and most comlete exams I have ever experienced.She had a very friendly and professional manner. I was very satisfied with my glasses and plan to reurn to Dr. Lawrence for my next examination.

If this is the same Clara Lawrence who now works in Pearl vision inside Eastland Mall, unfortunately Im displeased to say that I had the worst experience trying to get my prescription updated. Im disappointed with myself when I didnt recognize the red flags that she didnt have many patients and the place seemed very empty. My complaint is that she tested my eye sight poorly and didnt take time to sharpen my vision. The contacts she put in my eyes hurt and my sight was foggy and they gave me headaches in just 24hrs (which I told her before leaving, but she advise I get use to them). I went back again to fix the issue, but left again with foggy vision and a head ach. And again she felt there was no problem with my vision, and didnt want to schedule a checkup. I recently went to a professional eye doctor and now can see again and the headaches are gone. I chose to see another doctor because I just feel my eye sight is to important for her to play Russian roulette with. Beware.

A very no-nonsense doctor who is very thorough, staight to the point and a leader in her field. Dr Lawrence is known to uncover diseases and conditions that the patient has no symptoms for and therefore no knowledge of. Dr Lawrence is tops in her field! I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing an exam. The best part - my vision is definitely the sharpest it's ever been. I will be returning to her soon for my next routine visit.
