I drive clear from Athens to see Dr. Shepherd, she is so sweet and cares about your entire health. She insists that you see a specialist or your primary care physician for things outside her field. She did numerous surgical procedures on me some out patient two at the hospital. She came to check on me personally every day. I will keep going to Columbus to see her as long as possible. The first time I met her she was an intern during a procedure for fertility issues. She knows more about me than most my friends.

Unfortunately for Kingsdale, I believe that a doctor's respect and concern for his or her patients is reflected in the attitudes and behaviors of their staff. While I can't complain about Dr. Copeland's medical care, every visit to Kingsdale involves an encounter with a rude or condescending staff member. I have been a client at Kingsdale for 8 years, but I have finally reached my limit. It seems that they do not lack for clients, so they could care less how they treat their existing patients.



Almost every phone call is a nuisance to them, and messages and issues are left ignored and unresolved. My first visit should have been my last - the nurse who checked me in chastised me for "taking time away from sick people" because their scheduler had mistakenly scheduled me into a sick slot instead of an annual appointment. Then, I was informed that at 5'6" and 130lb, I was "getting up there". During a recent annual appointment, additional tests were run without my permission or knowledge - I only found out when I got the bill for $180 because my insurance wouldn't cover them. I was never even informed of the results. It took two weeks of phone calls, messages, and actually walking in and demanding to talk to someone to get it resolved,



Although I have not needed their services for any medical problems, my history of experiences gives me great concern for the competency and compassion of their care, when it becomes necessary.

This is the best place for a woman to go to get her annuals. They are very good and care about your health. I highly recommend this office.
