Provided by YP.comThe worst Had two different techs report two different issues on Carrier furnace. Both very expensive to repair. Was contacted to maybe buy new furnace...since repairs were over $2500 ...Called another company . They came out fixed issue and put my furnace back together that was left torn apart by this company. $70.00 to repair and has been running fine for couple months now...What a Scam....was very disappointing in this company. Now I am out the money I paid Favert for nothing.

Provided by YP.comSomeone needs to call Favret Heating & Cooling that a homeless person stole one of their vans, came to my house, and tried to service my AC unit. Dear God. What a bad experience. I knew they were charging me by the hour, and boy did they try and milk me for every minute.
I sat there in the basement and watched this guy work. For 15 minutes he was laying on his back just looking around. I swear he feel asleep. He then attempted to make small talk with me, and as he did ... he stopped working. I'm glad I was paying him to chit chat. Turns out, even though I asked before I called, if they worked on my type of AC unit, they weren't certified on it, and declined to quote me a price or make firm recommendations on repairs.
Once he was done, he walked back to his van to fill out the paperwork. I paid for 10 minutes of him "writing" as I saw he added it to my bill. I made a mistake on their hourly rate (admittedly) so I questioned it, but the service person was extremely rude about it. After calling the home office to get confirmation that I was wrong, I went ahead and paid him. Once he got his money ... he just turned around and left. No, "Thank you for your business," or anything.
Favret ... Customer Service goes a long way. Tell your employees to tuck in their shirts (or at least button them up) and a "Thank You" can go a long way. Until then, you have lost my business forever.

Provided by YP.comHad no heat, in a new building I was not familiar with. I was told we had electric heat, unit was on the roof.
Called Favret, big mistake. The came out and billed me for 1.5 hours! To tell me the gas valve was shut off. That I needed a furnace filter which they did not have and then they charged me $329.! If the technician was there for more than his initial $145! Half hour he did not need to be. Here is their rate. $145 for the first half hour $45 for each additional 15 minutes! They are not efficient and at that rate I would expect common size filters in the van. Most companies I work with would have charged me half that or less.

Provided by YPmobileCalled them to come check out furnace, replace the air filter and possible move the thermostat.
We recently bought our house. It has a furnace in the attic that is not readily accessible and a thermostat in a guest bedroom.
Technician shows up and tells my wife to go buy an air filter!! He is insistent and she does. When she comes back 30min later he gets out of his car and looks at the furnace and changes the filter. He then states it will costs "thousand and thousands of dollars" to change the location of the thermostat. My wife asks for an estimate. And he does not give her one. He bills us for 75 min of work (30 of which were my wife going to buy the air filter).
I called the office to complaint and I receive an indifferent and dismissive answer.
We will NEVER use this company again. Totally unprofessional.

Provided by YP.comHad a tech out on Friday for heating system maintenance. Said my humidifier needed a new part. It is my fault for not checking his work, but I'd never had problems with a Favret tech before. After he left, I discovered that my humidifier was lying on my basement floor in several pieces and that the new part had not been installed. I do blame myself for not looking at it before he left but I've never had to babysit a technician before. And, of course now that they have my check, I can't get anyone on the phone to get a tech back out to put it back together. Was satisfied with this company when I bought this house several years ago but the quality of technicians and service they are providing now is questionable. I will really have to think twice about hiring them again. Word to the wise: BABYSIT YOUR TECH! I should have.
