The Office of the Ohio Consumers Counsel is a residential utility consumer advocacy organization that represents more than 4.5 million households in proceedings before state and federal regulators and courts. The organization educates consumers about electric, natural gas, telephone and water issues. It resolves complaints from individuals. The Office of the Ohio Consumers Counsel also monitors legislative activities. The organization publishes a bimonthly newsletter, Ohio Consumers' Corner. It offers up-to-date information on a variety of alternative energy programs. In addition, the organization provides outreach and education professionals to talk about issues concerning the telecommunications and water industries.
