General Info
Founded in 2018, Columbus Printed Arts Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to the practice and advancement of fine art print media as an influential contemporary art form and fundamental component of a free and engaged society. The mission of Columbus Printed Arts Center is to foster a supportive printed arts community by providing affordable access to communal workspaces and professional studio facilities, comprehensive educational programming, and critically engaged exhibitions. While we view the opportunity to express oneself through the act of making as a vital component in maintaining a healthy community, Columbus Printed Arts Center seeks to provide additional opportunities to engage with art. Through performances, screenings, lectures, and community outreach, our goal is to challenge contemporary perspectives of print media and the contexts in which artists at various career stages may find support. We arrive at our organizational mission through the approaches of artist-run spaces, community nonprofits, non-traditional learning methodologies, and alternative space models. Founded by active artists, we challenge ourselves to develop every organizational aspect of CPAC with these models in mind — to exercise an experimental approach to institutional production, to make civic space that invites a deeply engaged community to take agency in our programs, and to commit to supporting projects that actively expand upon the boundaries of print media. All donations directly support our mission. As a new, volunteer-run organization, we rely on your support to help us establish a space that meets the needs of local artists and is in constant dialogue with the needs of the greater Columbus community. All gifts are fully tax-deductible.
