They're overpriced and don't stand behind the quality guarantee of the products they sell. If you get a defective pair of shoes you need to go to the shoe manufacturer yourself. Once they get your money they're done with you. You might as well just buy online.

After checking the internet for quality shoes near Marion, Ohio- we decided to go to browns shoe store. Customer service was great- she measured my foot, asked what I was looking for, brought back about 4 different pairs of shoes to show me. After the second pair , I decided they were the shoes for me. The entire time she was waiting on me, she was very knowledgeable about the shoes. I give them five stars for customer service. Thank you, I would make the 50 mile drive again for the personal service. Pat Wilson

The sales prople at browns are wonderful. The owner hiwever is very rude and condescending. Try to avoid him. If i werent desperate for shoes to fit my troubled feet, going to browns would not be my choice because of him. Someone forgot to teach him the good manners of relating to his customers. The women assistants however are very helpful, particularly debbie.

Very disappointing! I called ahead of time asking if they had my brand & size; they stated not only do they have my brand, but they have many other brands with my foot! I drove from Dayton to this Columbus store. Not only did they not have my size, they didn't even carry the brand I requested. I asked the clerk twice over the phone so there was no misunderstanding since I was driving 50 miles from Dayton. The female clerk showed me a 9EE shoe & was selling me the idea that it runs small & the fact that my heel came out it when I stepped was because the shoe was a boat shoe & they all do that. The ability for a store to order a shoe from a catalog does not constitute stock availability. No apologies from anyone over my time wasted. Find another store for your wide width needs!

Great selection of sizes including NARROW which are impossible to find at bigger stores. Nice folks and knowledgeable about shoes which is, after all, what you're after at a shoe store. If you want syrupy smiley part-timers that could care less about how the shoe fits, go to Nordstom or Macy's.

The husband and wife team that own this store are horribly rude and told me that the sales people that work there are not there to spend too much time trying to assist customers to find the right pair of shoes in the same sentance that he said that they would do anything to assist the customer. I would NOT recommend this store. The sales people are rude, and the owners/managers are EXTREMELY rude.

This store has ZERO customer service skills, and on top of that made my 66 year old mother cry!!! They are refusing to help her find the right shoes for her feet, and wont give her the money back for the first pair of shoes she bought there. The manager told me that the employees werent paid to spend time with clients on picking out shoes!! That is their job is it not?? Overall, I am very unsatisfied with this store and I will be contacting the State's Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau to report this store for their lack of concern and care for their jobs and their customers.

This store offers a great selection of products for the whole family. They are very patient and understanding. Very knowledgeable as well. What an enjoyable place to shop.
