Action for Children, founded in 1972, is a private, nonprofit resource and information center for child care and early learning. The organization offers professional development workshops and support services to center staff and home providers in child care. It provides resources for effective advocacy and public awareness of issues related to early care and education. The organization conducts programs offering care for school age children, and offers parenting resources and classes through The Art of Positive Parenting. Action for Children has headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, operates a satellite office in Delaware County and work with partners in surrounding Licking, Madison, Union, Pickaway and Fairfield counties.
