Founded in 1969, L. Frances Smith Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. The school s curriculum focuses on math, guided reading and spelling mastery. It provides assistance with the development of responsibility, self-esteem and general wellness. L. Frances Smith Elementary School offers occupational, language and speech therapies. The school s library houses storybooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, and fiction and nonfiction books. In addition, it offers Title I and special education programs. L. Frances Smith Elementary School features a cafeteria, library, computer laboratory and playground.
