The management at Greentree are nothing more than vultures when it comes to your loved one's money. My 83 year old father has Alzheimer's and one morning he woke up and decided that he couldn't stand or walk. We took him to the hospital and after three days and many tests they said it was the disease telling him that he can't walk and that they couldn't release him unless we sent him to a facility that offered 24 hour care. So we did and we informed Greentree that he wasn't able to come back there they told me that he had to give a 30 day written notice that he was moving. What? He didn't know 30 days ago that he couldn't walk today. What happens if a person passes away? Do they have to give a 30 day notice to die? I just received a bill for the month of August and he doesn't have the money to pay it so I don't know what he'll do. Will Greentree sue my 83 year old father?
I constantly had to watch my father's bill each month to make sure they weren't "making any mistakes". Greedy, money hungry people who could care less about the residents. Stay away from these people!
Update!
The management here are suing my 83 year old father who suffers from Alzheimer's for 20 days of rent money because he didn't give them a 30 day notice that he was moving.
My 83 year old father is in the last stages of Alzheimer's and one day he woke up and he couldn't stand up or walk. We took him to the hospital and they kept him for three days and nights and told us that they couldn't release him to go back to Greentree. He had to have 24 hour care. So we put him in Kindred Healthcare and moved his belongings out of his apartment at Greentree.
That is when they told me they had to have a 30 day notice for anyone moving out. I asked what happens when someone dies. They can't give a 30 day notice. The same with my dad. He didn't know 30 days ago that he wouldn't be able to walk that day.
Now they are taking us to court. Simple greed.
Stay away from this place! They are not good people!

My father is not happy here and it breaks our hearts each time we visit, then leave. Our family has such loving memories of a dad we once knew and now seems morelss a stranger and aggitated It just doesn't seem fair he gave his all through the years, to get this! I suggest if you decide to move your loved one in for care, to visit often and take him/her out weekly so they will be able to feel they still have family and they were not deserted, to live in an institution. The staff does not seem to be well trained for the most part and don't seem professional, having difficulty handling confusion, at least with our father; which leaves room for concern. If it weren't for our father's memory loss, he would be living with us, on alternate months something I could surely live with. (instead of seeing him here).....we are seriouly considering pulling him out, once we all retire
