General Info
As the leading provider of health care in west Georgia, Columbus Regional Health serves the Columbus, Georgia area with a network of health and medical services. Established in 1986 as a private, not-for-profit health services organization, Columbus Regional Health’s roots date back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. It has grown to become the region’s health care leader, offering compassionate care and an unwavering commitment to the residents of the region through its various facilities, programs and services. Columbus Regional Health includes two hospitals – Midtown Medical Center and Northside Medical Center. The system also includes the John B. Amos Cancer Center, Columbus Regional Medical Group with multiple locations, two MyCare Urgent Care Centers and three retail pharmacies. The system also includes a Family Medicine Residency Program, as well as an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists-accredited pharmacy residency program. The Family Medicine Residency Program at Midtown Medical Center became the first in Georgia in 1972 and is one of the first in the southeastern United States.
