When Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2000, he had envisioned starting a state-of-the-art, high quality private practice. He began his career with a local chain store until the right opportunity was available. 20/20 EYECARE has grown into one of the largest and most successful independent practices of optometry in the region. 20/20 EYECARE is a clinical investigator research site and has conducted many FDA clinical trials to develop new contact lens designs. The eye center also serves as a training center for optometric students from the UAB School of Optometry.
