Provided by YP.comAfter a change in my life I decided to go to school for Massage Therapy which was something I had always wanted to do. The staff at TCI were awesome & worked with me on various different things that came up in my 10 months of school. I graduated & a month later took my state boards which they had prepared me for & I passed. Now a year later I'm a LMT at a chiropractors office in Columbia where they assisted in letting me know there was a position open. Thank you TCI for believing in me & with the help of finding a job to start my new career in. Tina M. Piper, LMT

Provided by YPmobileI am a recent "empty nester". I saw this as a good time to finally do something for me. Follow my passion to learn about the "Wellness and Beauty" industry. When I met the admissions staff, I immediately felt their sincere desire to get me on my way to reaching my personal goals. My instructors and classmates were also welcoming and all were helpful. I learned something from everyone at TCI, not only about Esthetics, but about myself. My confidence grew daily. As adult students, we were expected to be there and participate in our own education. I never felt slighted by the instruction I received. It makes sense (to me) to see it once then perfect the skill by practicing it over and over. Clients aren't always available, so again as an adult student I learned to take initiative to practice on a fellow student or call a friend or family member to come into the school for practice. I had a different experience with each instructor and all had something special to offer!! I feel we are each responsible for getting what we need from any education. TCI became my home away from home and I miss my interactions with the staff, students and clients. Don't go to TCI if you are in need of "hand holding"! You WILL get from TCI what you are willing to put into it. As a final observation, a positive attitude toward your education and/or career placement (as with anything) will take you a long way!

Provided by YPmobileI loved my experience at TCI! The teachers can answer any and all questions that you may have, I would not be where I'm at today without all the staff at TCI!

Provided by YPmobileI was enrolled for the esthetics program at this school. I was also a transfer student so coming from one school in a very populated city to this one was a major down grade. The admissions person told me that I would be learning more things than what I had already learned in my previous school. That was total crap. The rotation of the curriculum in which I can in was something I had already previously learned. I was told that we would have makeup education. We never saw a demonstration of makeup application from our instructor. She just told us to "do your own makeup or do it on someone else." We also did a lot of ready out of the book and had to do the vocabulary words in each chapter as if we were in Middle school.
This school was not busy enough for us to have a good experience for hands on. Maybe 3-4 clients a week. The clinic was so small. If we didn't have a client to service and other students did, we would have to sit in the clinic, in the dark and do bookwork. I don't understand why we couldn't sit in the classroom. We are not children and we know how to behave.
My last week of school is when I finally got to take all of my exit tests. The hands on portion of the psi was shown to me one time. I had to practice on my own or w/ another student. It seems unpractical to me for someone to be able to learn a state board exam in 3-4 days and not to mention the instructor didn't ever seem like she wanted to help.
I graduated and was told that I would have help finding a job afterwards. I haven't had any help what so ever from my school since I left. The only thing they did do was pay for my exams. So now, I'm working a restaurant job w/ no financial stability like I thought I would have. I'm not sorry for writing a bad review about this school b/c it's the truth. I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this school.

Provided by YPmobileFirst I have been going to this school for the past four years and the service from the students is great but the staff well the new staff that are there have no clue about what is going on. This is my last time going to that school. Very dissatisfied about the way things are being done now.

Provided by YPmobileim currently in this school and i can tell you i hate waking up knowing i have to go to this school. it was a very great school when i started but now its just complete bull crap. the awesome teachers they have there and actually care about students the other staff members try their hardest to get rid of them and eventually they do. all they care about is their money and keeping there job they dont care about your career cause they already have theirs. thats a school full of selfish staff.

Provided by YP.comThis has been a lot of fun. I was a little nervous being a guy interested in massage therapy at a beauty school but its something I wanted to do and this is the best place to do it. The school is beautiful and is the most comprehensive compared to the other options I looked in to.
