Located in Columbia, S.C., J. P. Thomas Elementary School is a coeducational institution that has an enrollment of more than 450 students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as parenting seminars, parent education, technology night, career education week, family reading night and health awareness fest. It also organizes field days, musical programs, chorus concerts and visual arts contests. In addition to the core subjects, the school offers special courses in music, art and physical education. J. P. Thomas Elementary School is a part of Richland County School District One, which is one of the largest school districts in South Carolina with more than 24,000 students.
