General Info: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands is a part of a nationwide movement with a mission of empowering underprivileged young people to capitalize their potential. It runs various programs, including health awareness, educational, arts and crafts and athletics. Its individual service programs offers assessment, referral and counseling services, such as conflict resolution clinics and parenting classes to members and their families. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands has summer fun clubs that organize computer classes and sports, art and adventure camps. It also conducts special events, such as Youth of the Year Award, river fests, guest speaker workshops and fun nights. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands runs before- and after-school child care programs and maintains several locations in Columbia, S.C.
