I have been a Trugreen customer for so many years, I can't remember (10-12 years). My neighbors frequently comment how green and weed free my yard always appears. The service men are timely and always knock to let me know they are in the yard performing service and always leave a report sheet identifying the service performed, the chemicals used and any problems they detected. I have been more that pleased with TruGreen"s lawn service.

Tech understood my wants and needs. What I'd like to have by summer - grubs gone, problem grass and weeds gone. He took the time to walk with and knows my boundaries. That the service was performed per the contract; however there were some verbal things told to us that did not occur. Of course, the verbal items did not occur and that just reinforces the fact that anything stated must be put in writing in the contract if you want them done.

A lot of resources, good products, qualified people. Main concern is feedback response and communication processes.

Chemlawn technician was most pleasant and knowledgeable. He rang my doorbell, explained what service he was going to do, answered my questions, asked what else he might do, and then performed the lawn treatment.

The ugly: Trugreen in Columbia /Jefferson city. We signed contract with them to take care of our weeds ,apply needed chemicals to kill all the weeds and at the end over-seed the yard with grass. Every step was agreed on and we were told how much exactly it would cost us(agreed and signed payment plan witch was supposed to be deducted from our credit card) . After first application we noticed that they worked about 7 min on our yard. Second time was about 10 min. Not only we noticed that he is working kind of too fast to be really thorough but the guy didnt exactly knew where is our or not our yard. My hubby cued him on it. Next day we have noticed that our credit card was charged for bigger amount than we agreed on, actually double than we expected and what was in contract. When i called and asked why ? I was rudely told that specific extra job was done(extra job in 10 min?) ...that it was needed to be done. I understand that sometimes things are not going as planned.I tried to understand her explanations :it was one time thing etc.I kept asking her if this extra charge would effect the grand total we agreed on.She never gave me an answer. So i asked to give me a manager. He didn't even apologize or tried to explain me what happened . No wonder his employees are rude-he sets the tone.We canceled the contract and asked them to return us money for the service witch we didn't agree on. We are very sad- we were hoping to take care of weeds and placed aside money for their service.I was upset that they gave themselves a permission without our consent or any explanation beforehand to charge my credit card for bigger amount. Bad customer service for sure! They also said it would take up to a week to return money on our card. Really? Charging fast,returning not so much....

Lawn has filled in nicely compared to last year and is healthy looking and green. Have a few weeds in isolated areas but recent treatment should eliminate those in a few weeks. Service is timely and a good quality for the price.

I would recommend TruGreen to anyone. I have been pleased with all of the work they have done. The employees are especially sweet and understanding. My yard has not ever been this pretty and green.
