Fairly disappointing experience. Technician came out to look at a frozen wall hydrant. Took him about 15 minutes to get the water turned off, which I could have done in about 2 minutes, fairly slow moving. Then said he had to go back to the shop to get a part. I just drove there in 8 minutes. 45 minutes later he returned. Took him about 10 minutes to replace the broken pipe. Charged me nearly $200 for labor! For the WORK he actually did, I paid him a rate of $1,200 per hour. He said Roto Rooter makes him charge for the time it takes to get the part. First off it took him twice as long as it should have, and second off...SERIOUSLY? He then charged me $68 for a part that after the fact I found online for half the price. I understand a business and am ok with some upcharge, but 100% upcharge? No thank you! Done with Roto Rooter...you can find plenty of local plumbing businesses that are way more honest with their business practices. Very frustrated.

The service man was great. The prices are high, but I expected that on a holiday. I appreciate that they came quickly and did the job efficiently.

Our sewer backed up on Sunday and contacted several plumbers that have 24/7 service. The only answer was Roto-Rooter of Columbia, MO. Their Tech #Dave R., #861 was great to work with and fixed the problem in no time. I would recommend them if you need a plumber. (Invoice #9039)
