Welcome to Erdel & Wood I'm Stan Erdel, ( that's me standing there on the left side of this page ), and I am the owner of Erdel & Wood Home Improvement Center. Erdel and Wood has been in business for over thirty years providing Mid-Missouri home owners and contractors with the best products this industry has to offer along with the knowledge of knowing the products that we carry. I could tell you that we offer the best customer service that you're going to find in this industry, and I would be right, but I'm not going to do that, instead you're going to have to ask our customers. A lot of our customers have been coming to us to take care of them since we opened our doors in 1975. The staff at Erdel & Wood are professional and above all knowledgable and courteous. Most of the staff here at Erdel & Wood has been with us for years. Chances are the staff that you talked to when you came in the store 10 years ago asking questions and needing supplies for that bathroom remodeling job you were doing is going to be here today when you come in here to ask questions and need supplies to remodel your kitchen with. That's something you won't find at the big box stores or even the smaller franchise stores nowadays. Our slogan, "Where Advertising Begins With A Satisfied Customer!", was how we promoted our business originally, customer word of mouth, and we have practiced that way of marketing ourselves for over thirty years. Erdel and Wood has always been a family owned business. My daughter Portia and my son Elliott grew up helping out around the store. Today both of them are here assisting dad with not only the day to day activities here at Erdel & Wood, but with their help and knowledge of this business, it has allowed Erdel & Wood to grow and expand its store locations to now include the city of Columbia, MO. I have always taken the time to get to know my customers and their home improvement needs, and I have always done this face to face with the customer. The idea of having an Erdel & Wood web site on the internet was something I never gave much thought to. I have always felt if I didn't know my customer's needs, then how am I going to be able to truly provide them with the products and services that they are going to be truly happy with? After all, this is their house and part of my business is to make that house feel like their home. You know, that special place you retreat to at the end of a long day to just kick back and relax. That special place where memories are created as your kids are growing up. That special place where family comes over to spend time doing family activities. That special place where you are socializing with close friends. Portia and Elliott have informed me and assured me that by having an internet presence that Erdel & Wood can still provide the same level, if not greater, level of service to our customers. I am glad I listened to my kids as they have convinced and proven to their dad that Erdel & Wood's internet presence has had a positive impact for us in that we are able to serve our customers needs and provide them with the knowledge and service they have come to expect from us for over thirty years.
