If you need any alterations, do not use Alterations by Sylvia. I had a formal dress that required hemming (including the underskirt) and the bodice was also to be altered. The shop had the dress for several weeks and I made it very clear that I had a deadline, which they readily agreed to. I attempted to pick up the dress the day I was leaving town, only to find out that the work had not been completed. I was told to return in an hour and it would be finished. I picked up the dress and headed to the airport, barely making my plane. When I tried to wear the dress 24 hours later, I discovered that only the skirt had been hemmed (and quite poorly, I might add). The underskirt hung almost to the floor and the bodice was untouched. I was charged the full price for only a third of the work. If I could give this business less than one star, I would. They are truly the worst business I have ever dealt with.
