Union Memorial School, also known as UMS, is a learning facility that serves more than 150 students in kindergarten through grade two. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, math, art, physical education, science and history. The school also provides special education programs for gifted and talented students. Union Memorial School offers the Title I program. In addition, it operates a library and parent-teacher organization. The school provides guidance counseling and food services. Union Memorial School conducts field trips and fire drills. It also organizes parent-teacher conferences and offers volunteer opportunities. The school is a part of the Colchester School District.
