General Info
Keta White is a physical therapist at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She specializes in geriatrics, falls/balance and neurologic rehabilitation. She treats patients with conditions such as movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), vertigo, brain injury, concussion, spinal cord injury and stroke. She uses techniques such as therapeutic taping, and LSVT BIG, a treatment to help limb movement in patients with Parkinson’s disease.Keta became board certified in geriatrics because it is the population of people that she loves working with. The aging adult requires additional knowledge, experience and training to treat, and becoming a specialist in this area has always been her goal. What Keta loves most about her career is helping people. All her patients have a story to tell and helping them through their difficult time is extremely gratifying for her. It is especially satisfying for her if they are an older person who thought that they wouldn't be able to get stronger due to their age or condition and then they experience improvements with exercise and treatment provided by a physical therapist. The other area of expertise that Keta has developed and loves is treating people with vertigo. As someone who has suffered from it herself she understands how debilitating it can be. Keta’s goal is to make her patients feel as if they are heard. She makes sure to truly listen to their concerns so she can provide the best care possible. She wants a patient’s experience to be a positive one.Learn more about rehabilitation at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
