i.e., A local favorite, or highly reAthans dinner Not very pleased. We arrived at 8:30 Sunday morning just after mass, and we were seated pretty quickly, but when looking around you knew they were full. The waitress approached us and request our patients for she said it was very busy and was apologetic saying I will be with you shortly! About 10 minutes later she came back and took out beverage order, saying she would be back in a few minutes to take our order. Another 10 minutes went by and again she asked our patients while she took our order and we told her we were in no real rush figuring that it wouldn't take long to cook the meal. Meantime a friend of mine walked in at this time and they sat down across from us! Next to us on my left was an older couple who had come in at the same time as us! At about 45 minutes into the wait the couple was very upset and the waitress went and rushed their order. Well before this my friend had been served already, and I also noticed other customers that came in after us had been served and ready to leave! At 9:30 my patients had run out and we decided to leave. The waitress was being very apologetic about the delay, but it was past the point. I explained I was being patient but people that came in well after us were being served, I just can't sit there any longer! So I left $6.00 on the table to cover the beverages and we left! On the way out the cashier ask if we were all set and we explained after an hour wait we were never served. She then asked if the waitress apologized and we said yes, and all she said was she was sorry too; never offering anything to try to save a customer, or any kind of assurance that they would try to keep this from happening again! We were very disappointed for we both were looking forward to a good dinner breakfast! From a business stand point not only did a customer leave after an hour wait and no food but the table was tied up for an hour but should have been turned over in 30 minutes which would have meant two serving could have been done instead of just none. We then proceeded to Denny's and was served and out within 20 minutes. I will never return to Athans Dinner! If something more was done to try to win us over I might have thought about it, but there were no attempts! commended because
