- ArthritisInjuries to the knee can result in tears to the ACL, meniscus, and articular cartilage. Our surgeons are highly trained in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery techniques to reconstruct the ACL and perform meniscus repairs, restoring the normal function of the knee and getting patients back to the highest level of sport and activity. They also perform cutting edge techniques to repair damaged articular cartilage thereby decreasing the progression of arthritis. Patients who suffer from severe arthritis of the knee can be treated with partial or total knee replacement surgery, which can eliminate pain and restore high quality of life. Our offices specialize in three main areas: Sports medicine, orthopedic urgent care, and physical therapy. When you have an orthopedic issue, the medical professionals at OSSM are here to give you the best care. Here is how the process works.
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Primary CareAn insurance authorization / referral is a special kind of pre-approval that individual health plan members must obtain from their chosen primary care physician before seeing a specialist.
- Emergency CareAccidents or emergencies often happen at inconvenient times. When it comes to orthopedic injuries, skip the ER and see a specialist at Orthopedic Urgent Care.
- Carpal Tunnel SyndromeCarpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition characterized by the compression of the median nerve in the wrist, leading to pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and fingers. At OSSM, our specialized surgeons are skilled in the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. - MRIA MRI is a diagnostic procedure that uses a combination of large magnets, radiofrequencies, and a computer to produce detailed images of organs and structures within the body. This test is done to rule out any associated abnormalities of the spinal cord and nerves.
- X-Rays
- Computed TomographyA CAT Scan is a diagnostic imaging procedure that uses a combination of x-rays and computer technology to produce cross-sectional images (often called slices), both horizontally and vertically, of the body. A CT scan shows detailed images of any part of the body, including the bones, muscles, fat, and organs. CT scans are more detailed than general x-rays. The goal of treatment is to control the pain, promote healing, prevent complications, and restore normal use of the fractured area. An open fracture (one in which the bone exits and is visible through the skin, or where a deep wound exposes the bone through the skin) is considered an emergency. Seek immediate medical attention for this type of fracture by calling 911.
