The S.T.E.P.S. Outpatient recovery Program in Cocoa is a complete joke. It is by far the worst recovery program in Florida that I have ever been in. I absolutely wouldn't recommend the program to anyone and seriously regret ever going. All day you are surrounded by non sober addicts/ alcoholics who have absolutely zero interest in getting clean or working on thwir personal issues and character defects. The majority of clients aren't clean and continue to use throughout the program.some even use during class in either the bathroom or outside during classes two designated 10-15 minute smoke/ lunch breaks, which is all you allowed during the 4 hour long day. You can typically catch a hint of someone either smoking crack or meth in the bathrooms and its not uncommon to actually find pieces of brillow on the bathroom floors. The program doesn't teach you that much about recovery or getting and staying clean. So if you're serious about recovery and getting/ staying clean STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!
