Carter Middle School assists with the social, mental and physical growth of students in grades five through eight. The school offers classes in math, science, English and social studies. It also hosts sessions in music, art and physical education. Carter Middle School provides Title I, career counseling and special education programs. In addition, the school operates a parent-teacher organization and offers membership options for inventor's and drama clubs. The school features a guidance office, library and several classrooms. It provides a range of sports activities, including wrestling and football. Carter Middle School is governed by Clio Area Schools, which manages several elementary, middle and high schools.
