It is the belief of Church of Holism that cruelty towards animals leads to human civilization experiencing Social Darwinism. Animals are sentient beings. They possess a nervous system that allows them to feel and think. They are also spiritual beings, meaning that each and every animal possesses a unique soul. The word "animal" comes from the Latin "anima" which translates to "soul."
