- ArthritisGlobal biopharmaceutical giant Bristol Myers Squibb chose to locate a new large-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Devens back in 2006. The company, whose mission is to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases, (including depression, HIV, hepatitis B, rheumatoid arthritis, and melanoma), expanded again in 2016 with a $280 million project that added two new buildings to its 89-acre campus. And now, a third building expansion is in the works for the company’s 800 employees that includes new office space, conference facilities, an expanded cafeteria, and a fitness center. A series of walkways and trails connecting buildings and outdoor patio space will complement the addition.
- ImmunizationsAnnual pet registration begins June 1. All dogs over the age of six months and living in Devens must be vaccinated for rabies and licensed by Devens Animal Control. This enables lost dogs to be traced back to the owner and vaccination to be verified in case of bites. The license is good from July 1 through June 30 and must be renewed during the month of June each year.
