i have also catered parties from sal's food is great and i never had a problem with the pastries.-- i also go there 3 times a week.

I have to agree with "foodcritic20" .... while I think Sal's has the best hot foods, their pastries are stale. It has happened to me on more than one ocassion so I just don't buy them anymore. That doesn't stop me from eating their hot food. I'm there 2 - 3 days per week for lunch :)

I've never had to complain once about Sal's Deli. The pastries and cakes are exellent! The hot food is delicous. I go in once week to get a pastry and a cup of coffee never have I expeirienced a stale pastry or expired cream. The Italian Cheescakes are the best you can get!
