For over 25 years, Enerco has been one of the leading providers of heating equipment, sold through an exclusive distributor network, to the contractors in the United States. It began as the Infrared division of the Van Dorn Corporation, a major manufacturer of extrusion equipment for the plastic industry. The company specializes in manufacturing radiant heating systems, custom-designed infrared burner systems and infrared heating equipment for factories and warehouses. The various products offered by the firm include indirect fired, forced air, convection, portable radiant and garage shop radiant heaters among others. In 2002, the company introduced a line of HeatStar portable heaters for the construction industry. The firm employs more than 100 people at its 150,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution center in Cleveland, Ohio.
