In 1908, the Cleveland State Bank opened for business and was to become a thread in the fabric of Cleveland history. Through the Great Depression, the shortages and inflation of the 1970 s, the bank has been firmly associated with this place and the people who live in the city. In 1971, The Cleveland State Bank moved to its present location, and opened branches in Merigold, Ohio. Cleveland is still as special and forward thinking as it has ever been. There are few towns in the Mississippi Delta with as much going for it as there is here. The bank s role, as a hometown bank, remains the same. The bank continues to serve the needs and wants of its customers with stability and excellent service.
