Being an optometrist means first and foremost listening, and truly hearing our patients’ concerns and fears. Without this, the most thorough examination and advanced testing will often lead to a treatment plan that is off the mark. I believe in approaching each patient holistically, from his/her general health to his/her specific ocular complaints and how this may be impacted by their personal life as well. A comprehensive ocular exam is crucial to making the diagnosis. From the point of diagnosis on, it is my job to educate my patients regarding their problem and their options for treatment. An informed patient is the happiest patient. I want my patients to leave knowing they have found a partner in seeking solutions to their visual problems and that we care very much.
