Hotel Cabana has a rich, multi-decade history. Originally built in 1947 as a single story building and named Coca Cabana, our hotel has always been a haven for laid-back sun lovers to enjoy the beach in a warm and welcoming environment. We’ve had many names – including most recently the Hotel Cabana, but we’ve always had a common goal: to welcome people to Clearwater Beach, one of the most beautiful places on earth. We hope to see you soon and again in years to come!

We live in the area and just wanted a nice weekend getaway reasonably priced. We were very fortunate to come upon the North Sunrise. From the beginning our stay was exceptional with kind and frienly service. I must have called their office 3-4 times before we even made the reservation, with questions about the accomatations, parking, beach etc. needless to say I was kind of a neusance but with each phone call they were friendlier than the one before, by the time we arrived we were on a first name basis. they were very accomidating we left home without beachtowels and they kindly supplied them gave great advice on dining transportation and even offered dog bowels for our little pooch, who they graciously allowed to stay. We will definatly stay again and probably sooner than later since it was so reasonable A great vacation place. The only reason for the four star rating was that our room was on the small size but, that was our fault we asked for something small. Thanks you.

I called this establishment on October 15/10 and spoke with the female owner. First...my husband sent them 2 inquiries via their website and did not receive a response. Hence, the reason for my call. We were seeking accommodations for later in the month in 1 bedroom with kitchen. She did not have any availability for our requested dates...given we had date flexibility I asked about the following week, no availability then either. Since their room info is limited on website...for future reference I asked the questions my husband asked in previous email inquiries. Square footage of rentals, costs, fees, and parking. It seemed like she was getting annoyed. She said they cannot guarantee parking and that public street parking is available. She did not know the cost of public parking...as she does not use it. I was taken aback by her response. Then I asked her how long it takes to get to their destination from Tampa airport (as their website says 20 minutes...we know for a fact it takes at least 40mins to get to Clearwater Beach, unless they have built a quicker route since our last trip. If this was in fact a type-o...I wanted to bring to their attention). She stated 20 minutes (and no, there was no quicker route). St. Pete's airport to Clearwater beach is about 20mins....not from Tampa airport. She accused me in not so many words of calling to bother her. I informed her we were frequent travelers and like to get all info for possible accommodations (as most people do). I apologized for bothering her...I was left with the impression that she was not interested in acquiring new clientele. I have never in all my years of travelling encountered such service. Good customer service starts with the first email, the first phone call...not the first day of vacation. Right? Her demeanor spoke volumes...I think we'll stick to our regular spot at Regatta Beach Club...they are always very friendly and happy for our business! We thought we'd try something different this trip. Thank you North Sunrise Motel...you made this decision easy for us. I'm sorry...I don't think we will ever stay at your motel...judging from our phone conversation I can only assume you probably could care less.
